Jane Cumberbatch

I really appreciate all of Jane's tips for simple living. I like this rustic table and will be posting inspiration for interiors on another, more focused blog. My family and I are anticipating a final move up north and I need to organize ideas for a new house.

Fish in a Pan

I love this simple recipe from Alabama Chanin's Journal. During a sojourn at Los Roques, in Venezuela, Natalie Chanin met Nelly who cooked with apparent love and laughter. Here is one I'll be trying out soon:

Crush five cloves of garlic and sea salt in a mortar. Add juice of two limes and a splash of soy sauce. Pour over fish fillets and let stand for a while. Cook fish on hot skillet with marinade.

My kind of recipe!

Happy New Year, a bit late

Let's go!

So many great lines in this song..."she's got wonderful eyes, and a risque mouth"....being one of them.
