This book is one of my favorites. It reminds me of my grandmother Alicia, her spirited arrangements (ginger! hibiscus! palm fronds! banana leaf! orchids!) and her garden in San Salvador. It's raining again tonight, one of those sudden tropical storms that seem to come out of nowhere, so I'll peruse this book with a cup of tea and finish watching To Catch a Thief with Elizabeth.
